Navarra is run by chef Rodriguez who is he winner of Top Chef Canada season 4! So I figured this restaurant is on the top of my list. It is located in the byward market in a great location!
This restaurant was packed! Good thing I made a reservation! The service is superb! We arrived a bit early and our table wasn’t ready but they assured us we could have a couple of drinks at the bar! So we ordered some cocktails and chatted with the staff for a while. It was bustling, upbeat and friendly.
Once we sat down at our table by the window, we started ordering our plates. It’s definitely a place for tapas to share and try out together. Would be great for a date, family event, work party or even a girls night.
The waiters and waitresses explained how the plates work and what exactly you would find in them. So we ordered some Catalan tomato bread, which was fantastic!
Pictured above is an octopus and chorizo dish with beautiful and savoury garnishes. It was definitely a unique palate and one I would order again! Not to mention the plating is sublime!
Taco in a jar anyone? This was packed with flavours and delicious!
We also ordered a pasta dish that was tip top! It was the last filling dish to our lovely dinner!
Some of the best service we have ever received at a restaurant and the best food!
