Maison Boulud, Montreal

Checking off another restaurant on Canada’s 2015 top 100 restaurant list is Maison Boulud of Montreal, that is ranked at 25. This restaurant connected to the Ritz Carlton in Montreal has a grand entrance!

Upon entering the restaurant you feel very welcomed. As you keep walking there is a plethora of indoor dining tables and then an outdoor patio looking onto the garden. This is covered by an overhead canopy that keeps you cool in the sunlight.

The patio chairs are rather comfortable and entice you into staying longer. They have an excellent selection of local beers and wines. A delicious olive, red pepper infused bread to start.

I ordered a cold soup with notes of cucumber, peas, truffle oil and dill creme fraiche. Along with some cured salmon and a crunchy bread stick! It was refreshing and light for an appetizer. I thoroughly enjoyed the soup! Though I wish there was more salmon!

For my main I ordered an egg noodle pasta with shrimp, a pesto sauce, veggies and flavourful bread crumbs. This was worth the visit to Montreal for a day! Absolutely amazing plate with a commendable mix of flavours.

You will have to try this one out!

Happy wednesday!
